We (Olaf from capturingemotions and me) started this photo session at the same location than the “Those Red Lips”, a London ruined Church Garden.
If you have read the previous article, you know I wrote a lot about Dracula.
Well, Dracula comes from the word Dracul, which means Dragon. You might know the Hogwarts motto from the Harry Potter books,
Draco durmiens nunquam titillandus
means “Never tickle a sleeping dragon”.
I was awake, but completely following the theme here with these amazing red dragon-skin tights from Virivee, a Hungarian tight shop. Hungary is obviously the home of the Hungarian Hogtail.
The shoes are some old gladiator stilettos from La Scarpa Paris, that I bought on sale three years ago for a business trip to Japan.
I love the spiderhug ring from Rogue And Wolf, I wear it in a lot of photo sessions I think.
Apparently, 3.5 to 6.1 % of people are arachnophobic. If you are and want to desensitise yourself because, let’s face it, they are cute, Joshua Slice is creating some amazingly cute animation videos so arachnophobic people would be a bit less afraid. Snakes are a pretty popular phobia as well. People started to wonder if dragons didn’t come from ophidiophobia. I know I am not… comfortable with snakes yet, but I do enjoy their aesthetics as you can see from one of my pendants.
Speaking of pendants, I made my choker with a red pendant and some velvet, so it can’t be bought but it’s very easy to make. You can buy something very similar quite easily, alternatively.
This dress was bought after reading a blog post from Blood is the new Black, a French goth fashion and beauty blogger, as it was cheap and looked amazing.
It is discontinued on this website, BUT you can find something similar here (more expensively though).
After the garden, we took pictures in the city, as dusk was falling quickly.
The neo-gothic scenery of Tower Bridge works as well, don’t you think?
The City of London has this whole tradition with dragons. There are dragons on its coat of arms! So dragon are pretty much at home here.
If you like dragons, and enjoy a different take on them than usual, I would recommend reading the Invisible Library series by Genevieve Cogman. It’s also about parallel universes and giant libraries, so, you know.
